Grrrrr

I think my body must be going on strike this month. I've been a good monkey, getting plenty of sleep, keeping stress levels low, eating decently, the whole bit, but it doesn't seem to be doing me a lick of good.

I was sick at the tail end of September, and then I had an unusually bad visit from Aunt Flo two weeks ago. Then I got sick *again* last weekend. And today, I'm apparently starting ANOTHER period, complete with ugly cramps!

Isn't this why I'm on birth control? The BC is supposed to make me have FEWER periods, not MORE of them! ARGH SON OF A BITCH

Oh, and over the last few days, I've started having problems again with waking up in the middle of the night having to pee, no matter how much or little water I drink. BOOOOO.

This is all rather strange, because when I was dealing with health-related wonkiness last winter, I was ridiculously stressed at the time, and ready to crack at any moment. But right now? I feel relaxed-and-groovy about almost everything in my life. There's only one issue that's really bringing me down at all.

But, on the other hand, I suppose that one issue is a pretty big one. I guess maybe it's taking more of a toll than I thought.

On a more positive note, I met up with [livejournal.com profile] enlightened77 for a reading last night, and it definitely spoke to the problems that are plaguing me at the moment, but it was also affirming in a lot of ways. And we both got to get a couple things off our respective chests, which was really nice. :)

Anyhoo, the big vendor event is tomorrow, and I think it'll go really well. I might be leaving in the middle of it to do an engagement session, so yeah, busy busy. We're also hoping to do a really cool promo shoot on Sunday.... I went to Party City last night and got a fog machine for it! It's gonna rock.

See? Lots to feel good about. Just have to keep reminding myself of that...

Sorry you've had a rough go! By the way, not sure how many weddings you guys do, but another photographer who happens to be from Chicago moving to Portland only 6 days before I am (strange right?) is trying to form a photography network group on Facecrack. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=164616146586&ref=mf

BC always made my periods worse :/

The whole reason I went on BC was because it brought my cramps down from "Tear-inducing Agony" to "Unpleasant, But Tolerable." I was supposed to have a period this month (my BC dosing schedule lets me only have them 4x/year), but having two of them makes no sense whatsoever!

Oh man girl I know you were dealing with some of the fem issues last year too. My BC has been screwy too lately so I'm not sure what that means. What are you on if you don't mind me asking? I know you've been stressed about some things lately too, so I wonder if this is your bodies way of reacting. Whatever the case I really hope it stops soon. And good luck with the vendor event today!!!!

Also, I know you said you wanted a little more promotion for Enko. Would you mind if I did some facebook promo's for you?

I've been on Nordette for a couple years now, and haven't had problems until more recently... so yeah, you're probably right that it's some other outside factor :)

And I would LOVE if you promoted us! Thank you so much for the thought!

Blech! The only time I had issues with my cycle was in Africa. Nothing for the first 3 months, which honestly was fine 'cause I didn't need to deal with that too. I have found that Aleve does a really good job helping kill my crampy pain. I'm a big baby about taking meds, so I thought I would pass that on in case you are like me and didn't know about it.

I don't dig taking meds, either, so that's good to know. The cramps haven't been bad enough to merit calling in sick to work, so it could be worse. I think I'm more annoyed by having the erratic moods and ridiculous food cravings :)
