Blargh. I've been playing phone tag with the training manager that gym I applied at all week. Every time I call, the guy's with a client. And when I called on Saturday, whoever answered the phone and took a message just left the guy my name, so the guy left a voicemail while I was at wushu on Saturday, saying, "I'm not sure why you called, they just left me a message that I was supposed to call you back!" Ugh, WTF? I called again last night, and the guy was, of course, with a client, and I haven't gotten a call back since.

This is starting to bug. I'm not great about returning calls, either, but I *do* know how to take a proper message, for monkey's sake. And, if I was a hiring manager, I'd be way more on top of this stuff.

In other news, I'd sort of set a goal for myself to get down to 165 before I go on my trip. I'm going to be doing a *lot* of wushu while I'm gone, and then more wandering and sightseeing foo on top of that, so I wanted to be in extra-good (for me) shape. As of this morning, I was 2 lbs. away from that goal, which I'm surprisingly happy with, considering I'm highly unlikely to lose the remaining pounds in the next few days.

There have been times in the past when I'd have viewed not making 165 as a massive failure, but you know? I'm waaaay stronger than I was 2 months ago. Weight or no, I feel like I might actually survive all the hardcore training! Well, okay, I'm still slightly afraid of "worm races," after watching Goo's video on Facebook. I cannot do the worm!

Still, point being? It feels good to not flagellate myself about my weight. All of us ladies should've quit doing that to ourselves a long time ago, but I know as well as you do: it's really hard to stop, once you've started. :)
