I have spent the large part of my day on a print document, undoing the ugly and inconsistent content formatting that some intern did downstairs. And I'm STILL working on it. I was hoping to get it done before my workout this afternoon, but that's looking less and less likely.
I get that this department was trying to save some money (and educate the intern) by doing things this way, but it would, quite possibly, have been faster--and therefore, cheaper--for me to just lay out the entire document myself, rather than fishing through and tightening this other person's sloppy attempt.
The moral of the story? When you have a design person on your staff, USE THEIR SKILLS.
P.S. Fixing other people's mistakes FTL.
