Southern Fried
Mar. 12th, 2009 12:01 pmWe pedaled down to Delta Cafe and Bar yesterday evening, and split a dinner, and it was deeee-licious. We went with a tasty gumbo and the vegetarian collard greens, and that was enough food for us both. Of course, then Boy had to order a slab of strawberry rhubarb pie, so we were both stuffed, but it was SO worth it. That was some of the best damned pie crust I've had in a long, long time!
Their decor in the place was pretty neat, too, and gave me ideas for things we could do at the homestead, sometime in the not-terribly-distant future. I love fun with paint.
The bike ride there and back was nice, and I like the general feel of the Woodstock area. I could've done without the high winds and holy-jeebus-cold, though. It needs to stop being cold, so I can start biking to work again!
Anyhoo, here's another shot from yesterday. I like the calm, relaxed-and-groovy feel on this one:

We didn't actually trash the dress *that* much; our original plan was to have her in the water, but it was already cold out, and I didn't want her to freeze to death! So, she just kicked around in the water a bit with her feet, but that was enough to get some sand and water on the skirt.
I'm liking a lot of these shots, overall, so I'm pretty chuffed about that. :)
