Vacation

Eugene was short, but fun. It was a definite reminder of why I stuck around Eugene for as long as I did: there are some really rad people there. I wish I'd seen more of them when I still lived there, but even a small dose of them is happy-making. :) Of course, now divadrummer and morriscat are going to be even farther away, but they'll have madcap adventures and go forth to greater awesomeness, so I can't complain. W00t for them!

I also stopped at Sweet Life to grab some chocolate-y, cakey, vegan deliciousness. Holy schneikes, that place is awesome. There are definitely vegan bakeries up here that give it a run for their money, sure, but it's still really effin' good.

I'm glad I'm taking today off. I didn't get back from Eugene until late, and it was so, so nice to sleep in. I had a coffee this afternoon and wrote for a bit, and did some errands, but it's all been at a nice, leisurely pace. It's weird how I actually don't mind running errands, and even almost enjoy it, provided that I'm not trying to squeeze them into 10 free minutes between this meeting and that class.

I think tomorrow is going to be a day of cleaning and organizing things, which is good, because I'll feel all-around better when the house is less of a disaster. Wednesday is still a toss-up between getting my hair done by Amy for the last time before she graduates (!), or going to check out some of the so-called "Ghost Towns" of Oregon. Maybe if I'm lucky, I can fit in both?

And now, I shall attempt to do my leg workout on Andy's ghetto-stylie weight machine, and then play some Guitar Hero.

We were so glad to see you again :) That party was made of rad, but my only complaint - so many people that I didn't really get enough time with anyone! Let me know if your own madcaps take you to the midwest sometime.
