I shot two wedding receptions this weekend and a model shoot, so my brain is pretty fried.

The upshot is, those of you who asked get to see a quick before/after from yesterday's model shoot, instead of my usual blathering!

The (still fairly experimental) edited version is first, and the second is the in-camera result:



I wasn't keeping close track of the time, but the edit took half an hour, tops. On this type of shot, I think I spend the most time on correcting blemishes and skin irregularities, but this girl had clear skin, so that made things much easier.

I could probably have spent even more time on the skin, if I'd wanted to. (Seriously, have you seen the amount of skin retouching that goes into your average advertising photo? It's really effin' ridiculous) But, frankly, I was too tired yesterday to bother. I may come back to it later, though. :)

And yes, those are *her* gold underpants. They were so awesomely Bond Girl-ish, how could I pass that up? ;)

The warmth in the edited version is really effective in softening the mood, making it feel more intimate. The shot itself is fantastic. I love the pose.
