batskeetsIf any of you missed The Dark Knight, OMG GO SEE IT. It was long, but it was a great character-driven film with strong performances by pretty much everybody. It was just, WOW.
As for Dr. Horrible, I loved that, too. The ending was very, very Joss, but I don't know how they could have ended it any other way that wouldn't have felt more wrong. So, I only have two complaints about it, really:
A) I've had They Might Be Giants' "Someone Keeps Moving My Chair" stuck in my head for DAYS, because "Dr. Horrible" and "Mr. Horrible" are too similar for it not to trigger that response.
B) It had me rooting against Nathan Fillion, which just feels weird, man. I heart my Captain Tightpants. :(
In other news, white belt class at wushu got so big that they split it up into a kids' class and a 12-and-up class... which means that, because I assist with white belt level, I'm now doing three classes on Saturdays. We used to do 2 hour practices at UO, but those were less strenuous because they were longer and we weren't as rushed. At my current school, they try to cram a ridiculous amount of material into 45 minutes, so three 45-minute classes back-to-back is really grueling. I'm sure I'll appreciate it a few weeks from now, but right now it's paaaain!
Shot a runway show on Saturday, and biffed around on my bike on Sunday. Oh, and I made breakfast couscous and knocked out a good chunk of the book I'm reading. I'm such a slow reader nowadays, and it really irks me. Thing is, even when I'm reading at a coffee shop, I start to nod off because my eyeballs are so tired. I ask way too much of my peepers, sometimes.
In closing, here's a shot I took at the coast a couple of weeks ago. It was early evening when we got there, and I was feeling lazy, so I only took a few shots, mostly of us clowning around and building the campfire, but I still snagged this:
