Looks like Bill Clinton officially shifted his support to Obama. Oh, snap! ;p (and what is with all of Hillary's recent commentary about "white voters," anyway? How can she *not* know how that sounds?)

I had a massively bad time falling asleep last night; I was feeling restless, and coughing often enough to keep from conking out, so I'm on about 4 hours of fitful sleep at the moment. W00t?

My weekend was largely seen through a dense fog of sinus pressure and snot, but I did get some sun, so that's cool, at least. And I know one thing the boys love more than a regular [livejournal.com profile] skeets is a lightly toasted [livejournal.com profile] skeets. Or something.

I made an appearance at a fashion show, at the request of the designer I did the motel/laundromat shoot with, and I wore one of her dresses. The dress felt really short (but it probably wasn't), but it was worth it for the reaction I got out of her! She's funny. :D I definitely want to work with her again.

I wanted to go hang out with them afterwards, and I also reeeally wanted to karaoke, after getting text-nudged by [livejournal.com profile] phasmaphobic. But man, I felt like crap, my throat was all scratchy, and drinking when I'm sick is a bad, bad idea. Seems like, lately, I get sick or injured just in time for me to miss out on lots of cool things. My body is made of FAIL, heh.

Aaaanyhoo, I had a good commercial shoot yesterday, largely due to the model being great in front of the camera. He was really natural and expressive, and he totally didn't care that I made him run back and forth on the same stretch of jogging trail, in the hot sun, probably 40 or 50 times, in the name of cool athletic shots. I hope he continues to do well, because he was really easy to work with.

Unfortunately, it seemed like he was the only thing being remotely cooperative! I stressed out trying to find equipment that hadn't been put back in its place, and had to nix my cool lighting ideas for the on-location portion, when the powerpack died after like 3 test shots. The natural light was fine, and all, but it was disappointing to haul those lights over there and then not be able to use them.

And I swear, that transmitter must hate me, because in the studio yesterday, not only was it firing the strobes inconsistently, but on top of that, the synching was off! I couldn't push my shutter speed past 1/125; if I did, the strobes didn't fully deploy before the shutter closed. SO BAD.

Sorry, overly-technical complaining that maybe 5 of you will get. ^^; But needless to say, it was a pain! I can't figure out why this thing is giving us so many problems. Maybe we're on a really bad channel? I guess it's time for some Google-fu and maybe some complaining at the photo supply shop or the manufacturer.

So, here it is Monday, and my sinus-fog has been replaced by sleep-deprivation-fog. But at least I can breathe clearly through my nostrils!
