Okay, lovelies, here is today's mission, should you choose to accept it: Click this and visit my mini-city. You don't even have to look at it. Only the click matters!

I finally bit the bullet last night, and put those pesky beets to work. I roasted them, and threw them into a salad with some feta and my awesome vinaigrette... and they actually weren't bad! I don't know that it was love at first bite, necessarily, but they were far less terrifying than their canned equivalent. Also nice was the fact that, because the beets took an hour to roast, I had time to go on a run while dinner was cooking. Multi-tasking is love.

Not nice was the fact that my keys fell out of my pocket while ON said run. It was dark outside, naturally, so I had to backtrack and pray that they'd fallen out at a place where I could actually see them. Fortunately, I didn't have to go very far before I found them, but the whole Lost Keys Scare was not a fun way to cap off an otherwise good workout.

We watched Ocean's 13 last night, and I kind of fell asleep at the end, heh. Based on what I saw of it, however, it did prove to be less irritating than Ocean's 12. It still wasn't as good as Ocean's 11, though, seeing as, well, I did fall asleep while watching it.

And speaking of unwarranted sequels, while bopping around downtown on Wednesday, I noticed the reader board at the downtown movie theater: it was advertising a midnight showing. For NATIONAL TREASURE 2. The first National Treasure movie was hardly a notable cinematic achievement, so how does its sequel merit a midnight showing? God, people.

Anyhoo, today's my last day at work until January 2nd! Have I mentioned how awesome it is to actually have paid holidays and a respectable amount of vacation time? I think I'm getting spoiled. We shove off for Eugene tomorrow, and then I head southward the rest of the way on Sunday.

Also, y'all should bring your fine selves over for the New Year's party. RSVP plz kthx!
