Energy vampires
Oct. 25th, 2007 02:18 pmI haven't felt much like posting these past few days... probably because I'm too busy to think, and I'm *still* catching up on sleep. ;p
Anyhoo, last night was the final night of fashion week, so I was there with my camera in hand. I found myself wondering, as I had on Sunday night, why some of the models got picked. I totally understood it with some of them, because they looked good and had a lot of poise, but there were others who basically sucked the life out of the entire runway. I mean, yeah, modeling is more about your build and your look than anything else, but you'd think they'd at least *try* not to look completely dead up there.
Some of the clothes were interesting, some of them were plain fugly. I do like seeing interesting clothing, at least from an artistic perspective, but sometimes, I *really* don't get the fashion world. I suspect my opinion on where the line between "edgy" and "ludicrous" lies doesn't quite line up with theirs, heh.
Also amusing was the point when one of the (male) photographers came back all excited, and was all, "I just got a text saying my favorite girl on America's Next Top Model was Cover Girl of the Week again!" And then he and the other guy standing next to me went off on ANTM for several minutes, while I, a member of what I'm guessing is the target audience, had little to no idea what they were talking about. ;)
I finally get a night off from everything tonight. Not sure what I'm going to do with it, but it may not be a lot... I'm still feeling pretty draggy.
