Eugene people: we're going to be in Eugene from probably Friday night through Sunday afternoon. I'm shooting a family reunion on Saturday morning, but I'm open otherwise, so we should hang!

Okay, would everyone please SHUT UP already about the flippin' IKEA opening? Yeah, yeah, cute furniture, cheaply made, blah blah fishcakes. It. Is. A. STORE. It will still be there, and it will still be full of cute furniture next week/month/year, so go to your job like a responsible human being, instead of camping out in front like a lunatic. Tri-Met should not have to issue traffic delay warnings because of a bloody chain furniture store!

In other news, I was originally planning to grow out my 'do, but it turns out that I may be sticking with this haircut until Halloween... see, I found a Bruce Lee "Game of Death" jumpsuit on eBay, and I may very well have to get myself one. Bruce Lee haircut + Bruce Lee jumpsuit + wushu skillz = BEST COSTUME EVAR. XD

Anyhoo, last night was unexpected fun: Andy came up to do some stand-up comedy downtown, so we went and laughed, and I took some pictures. Andy did a solid job and got some laughs, even though he did a clean routine for a crowd that was way more into dirty jokes.

I also have to gripe about female comedians, because they had two of them last night, and it reminded me that it seems like female comedians ALL do largely the same thing. I'm not sure how talking endlessly about your vajayjay and dropping the F-bomb all over the place passes for comedy, but that stuff is TIRED.

We're officially putting our studio equipment to the test tonight on some local male model, so we'll see how that goes. I'm going to try and squeeze in some wushu training in one of the empty suites in our building, too. I need to start reworking my form for greater awesomeness and nandu; I'm going to be Advanced at my next tourney, so play time is over! I don't really get the chance when I go to wushu class, because it's so structured, so I'll have to work it out on my own time.

Have you seen my stuff?

My beef about female comics is that they so often constrain themselves to comedy about being a woman.

I did watch a clip that you posted semi-recently! I remember liking it because you didn't constrain yourself to the same old b.s most female comics do. I wish more ladies would follow suit :(

Thanks! I swear I wasn't finishing for compliments, I was just suddenly paranoid that I had fallen into that trap.

ZOMGZ. I'll keep my weekend open, but I dunno for what. Brain is dying, not creative. Oh, I guess the Oban festival is happening this weekend. Hrm.

Yeah, people got that way about Ikea in NYC too. WTF! Luckily, there is Fight Club to mock it.

When you are down in Eugene, is there any chance you can pick up the monitor of doom?
