BOBA TEEEEEA

batskeetsI took a short break from working today to go forth in search of boba, and I think I may have found my replacement for Savoure. The place was a fancy tea shop with a vast array of loose teas, and a nice sitting area. I don't know if they do the whole scones-and-tiny-sandwiches thing like Savoure used to, but I suspect they might. AND they do a pretty bang-on red bean bubble tea. Hells yeah. I'll have to stop in again when I have more time to sit and enjoy.
We had lunch with Nathan (a.k.a. David's cousin) yesterday, at this funky hot wings joint up the street. And when I say "hot," I'm not kidding. They had like 12 different sauces with varying levels of kick, and I was a little bit scared of the Hot and Extra Hot sauces, after sampling some of the others. Also: SWEET POTATO FRIES. <3 We checked out the local farmer's market after we got done eating--there are several around Portland, but this one's pretty close to my house--and it was small, but there's certainly potential.
I'm working on hellaciously monotonous things today. I'd put it off some more, buuuut... I've already been putting them off for too long. Sigh. It's not difficult stuff, just really time-consuming and annoying.
The good news? The Rose Festival! There's going to be some awesome stuff happening while that's going on. If anyone wants to come up here and visit, now is *so* the time for it. :D
