"And I be-lieve that you are nin-ja too!"
Mar. 12th, 2007 11:10 amSo, I just set an appointment for Wednesday afternoon. I'm auditioning to be a ninja.
Seriously. XD
They apparently want somebody with acrobatic/martial arts skills for a commercial, and they use wushu for that kind of stuff all the time in films. And, well, I practice wushu all the bloody time, so I thought, sure, why not? For some reason, I find the whole idea of me as a ninja kind of hilarious, and that alone is worth the half hour. ::rotfl::
They want a short sword routine and a short "tumbling demonstration," which I can do all right. Broadsword is an easy choice for the sword routine, but I'm not sure what to do for the latter. I'll figure it out sometime in the next two days, I guess, but either way, it should be an entertaining experience.
Makes me wish I had a backflip or an aerial to bust out, though. Siiiigh. Girls = no hops = no fun. ;p
Anyway, in other less frivolous news, I had a good weekend. Got some 1337 design stuff done, went on a bike ride, played racquetball, went to a low-key party, did a shoot with some people from Alaska, got some stuff organized around the house, made weird curry soup, and enjoyed the awesome weather. Yes!
I've been doing some research, and there may be vegan chocolate mousse in my future. Bwahaha. There's something about vegan cooking that's actually pretty interesting. They have to get creative with the ingredients in order to produce the same flavors and textures you'd get with animal products, and places like Sweet Life convince me that good vegan food *can* be done... you just have to do it right.
Anyhoo, I'm off to other adventures! And by "other adventures," I mean, "working for another 6 hours." Blargh. ;p
