I'd contemplated being on the road back to my place today, but I'll be heading back tomorrow, instead. :) I have the paid time off available, so why not?
My car is full of stuff to bring back with me, heh. I've managed to stem the flow of household cleaning products that my mom usually stuffs my car with, but I'll still have to clean out my closet to fit all this stuff in there. Not that I'm complaining, or anything, because I'm certainly not! But, if you happen to come by in the near future, and my room is a disaster, now you'll know why!
Anyhoo, I got some fun stuff for Christmas. I'll spare you the long and exhaustive list, but among other things, I got some camera and computer goodies, some crafty and relax-y things, another Karaoke Revolution game, and some stuff to keep me toasty through the rest of these cold months. Woo!
As usual, my trip feels too long in some ways, and too short in others. I'm definitely not accustomed to the slow pace of things around my parents' house... it feels like it's been a really long day, already, and it's only a little after 3pm. I would've liked to spend more time with everyone, though, especially the rest of the family. I'm hoping to lean on them a bit and see if they'll come out to the Berkeley tournament this year. (my aunt already sounds interested, heh) I guess that means I'd better train extra hard, heh. Or, maybe I can take a few extra days to head their way instead, like I've been trying to the past couple of times.
I'm feeling recharged, and ready to take on some things that I was feeling burnt out on before I left. If I were *really* smart, I'd pick one thing to focus on, but I have troubles with that, at times. Besides, there's so much I want to do and not very much time to do it in. ;)
Anyhoo, if anyone wants to get together for New Year's, sing out with suggestions! Those of us who were discussing the notion are feeling a bit partied out, but a more low-key get-together might be fun. I'm willing to go to someone else's party, too... I just don't feel like cleaning up after one.
