Yes, I am there as I type this. The drive yesterday was long, but easy, and the Siskiyous were almost disturbingly clear and snow-free! The hardest part was the sheer number of cars on the road, many of them driving far slower than I wanted to be driving. ;p

I was a good monkey and went running today! Warmer weather + waterfront = gooooood running. My ankle was a bit hinky (grrr), but I got none of the dreaded shoulder cramps! Freakin' sweet.

Ma took me shopping, and I got a record of SIX pairs of shoes, all on sale for ridiculously low prices! My size 11 gunboats usually keep me from finding more than one, *maybe* two pairs of shoes that are inexpensive and not-ugly, so that was something of a retail miracle. We're apparently going to try to get me some decent running shoes on the day after Christmas. That is good, because good running shoes are good for the ol' joints. That is bad, however, because I'll be braving the throngs of crazed Los Angeles mall shoppers in order to get said shoes. Heh, it's a trade-off. ^_-

Anyhoo, we hope to shove off early for my grandpa's house tomorrow, so I'mma get off the danged Internets and get some Zzzs.
