I got my Son of Rust CD in the mail yesterday. Woo! I like it muchly, although I haven't gotten through the entire thing yet. I haven't bought a CD in forever.
I've been posting more on the wushu message board, as of late, and I think I'm already turning into a mother hen, now that I'm going to be coaching. I guess I was sort of that way for the girls last year, because I was the most experienced female on the team and all, but now I'm doing that towards everyone--telling people to be careful when they train, tossing out advice, and all that stuff. It seems kind of hilarious, in light of how totally *not* in-shape I am, but I guess I actually do know quite a bit about fitness... it's actually putting it into practice consistently that seems to be my problem.
Speaking of wushu, I'm now a member of the US Wushu Union! Heh. I'm now looking at doing their judging certifications, so I can further my wushu education and make myself more useful in general. It'd be nice if I were able to help out in the wushu community and volunteer as a judge every once in a while, instead of just wandering around at the Berkeley tournament every year and looking utterly confused. :)
In other news, I am swiftly growing tired of playing phone tag with the counseling center. :p I left a message yesterday saying that we should go ahead and set up an appointment. They leave me a voicemail a couple hours later, basically saying, "did you leave a message earlier?" Uh, I did state my name in the message and all, so yeah, probably me. ::eyeroll::
I'm sore from yesterday. I biked to/from work and weight trained like a crazy man. I made the mistake of adding a couple of leg exercises, after reading some stuff about increasing your vertical leap, so I think I overdid it, a little. I always kind of overdo it on my first day back after a break, though, so I guess that's nothing new. ;p
Anyhoo, I got some stuff done after training last night, so all is well. I've got the blahs, but I think I can blame the Red Devil for that. Yecch.
