AAAAGGGGHHH MY STOMACH STILL HURTS. Stupid food!! Why do you bring me such enjoyment with your deliciousness, only to torture me later on?

If you're feeling particularly grumpy towards humanity, you ought to read this. Hearing about such good sportsmanship on the world stage makes me like people just a bit better in general. There are some truly classy and good people in the world, lest we forget. :)

In other Olympic-related news, I think I'm starting to understand why Canadians tell "Newfie" jokes: School cancelled in Newfoundland to watch the men's curling final? Seriously. CURLING! Good lord, quit making up reasons to cancel school, and just teach the poor children!

Practice was tough yesterday, but good. I'm trying to work on cartwheel-to-split landing, to prepare for the magical day when I might actually be able to do an aerial-to-split. Of course, I have no idea when I'll be able to do an aerial, if ever, but the split landing is less terrifying than I expected.

The real monkey wrench in my day was the fact that Alphonse decided to die on me right before I went to work. Every time I try to start up, it says that it needs "hal.dll" or some such thing, but said file is apparently missing or corrupted. Disk repairs don't seem to help, either. Theoretically, I should be able to just copy the freaking file over from the Windows CD, but of *course* it's never quite that simple. I may just hook the drive into the gaming box and copy the file that way. Hopefully it'll be fixed before today is over.

Collegiates stuff is piling up fast... I apparently have to coordinate breakfast and lunch for 20-25 judges on Saturday, now, too. Whoof. But, at least we'll be able to set up the competition floor on Friday night. Previously, Phil had mentioned having me show up at freaking 5:45am on Saturday to get the carpets set up, and that sounded like 10 kinds of crappy. Late night > early morning! ALWAYS.

That's all I've got. Extra practice tonight. Work work work. I want to sleep.

EDIT: the Happy Tuesday Dove chocolate bite fortune on the inside of the wrapper says: "You're allowed to do nothing." XD I'll have to try and remember that this week.

Ok first of all, Curling is awsome. I was actually hooked on it for a while, but it's definitely not a reason to cancel school LOL. Second, I've been a huge fan of the Winter Olympics for as long as I can remember but this year I was almost turned off all because of stupid Bob Costas and his "American Pride" arrogance. He made it sound like an American should have won all the gold medals and if they didn't it was because something went horribly wrong that was beyond no fault of their own. Can we please get an announcer who isn't such an asshole for the next olympics?? Ranting is over.
