Go Go Gadget Friday!
Oct. 14th, 2005 12:40 pmApparently, we now know who the next James Bond will be. I remember seeing this guy in a few things, but he doesn't quite strike me as the Bond type--looks more like the shady type than the suave hero type. But eh, maybe it's just me. And really, none of the other speculated actors quite say "Bond" to me, either. Eh, it'll always be Sean Connery. :)
I completely forgot to mention it, but I got a new purse last weekend, because my old one was getting to be very much the worse for wear. I was at Sears looking to buy a hammer, and I saw the purse as I was passing by. It's about the same as my old one size-wise, but it's black leather, has a ton of compartments, its cell phone pocket is attached to the outside for easy access, and it was a mere $14, so I heart it.
Taiji was cool last night. We started off the class by learning the first few bits of a Xingyi form, 10 animals and 5 elements. I also love how they actually go over the applications of some of these moves, because that's something I don't really get to learn at wushu. It totally killed me, though, because my legs are hellatired today.
And now, because last night was Thursday, you know what time it is: SURVIVOR BABBLING TIME :O
Good:
Lydia is too cute. Love that she was trying to pump up the tribe; the fact that she could counteract all the bad vibes from the Triumverate of Grumpy is a feat in and of itself.
Love Amy, she seems like a fun lady. Also, she has this tough as nails personal, yet she still gets spooked by a beetle, hee. :) I'd be right there with her if one of those things was flying around me.
Love BJ. Not bright enough to win this thing, but he's so freaking earnest and respectful that it's damned near impossible to hate on him. Liked his bonding with Gary, and his total "WTF?" expression during Blake's T&A discussion.
In the Middle:
Brian is suuuuch a dork, but it's rather entertaining. Also, the Bait Blake thing was a good move. He's probably not as smart as he thinks he is, though; he acts like he's the second coming of Richard Hatch/Rob C., and so far I'm skeptical about that.
Farmer Brandon is my dark horse candidate. He's keeping it low-key and taking in what's around him, and apparently he's got a knack for challenges, too. I can't decide if he's funny or a jerk, though--he kind of walks the line.
Blake is a colossal moron for not knowing when to shut up and stop acting fratty. Everyone knows you don't discuss boobies in mixed company!! Jesus. But, even with the annoying anecdotes, he seemed generally okay, and was still far from being the worst person out there.
Bad:
Still hating on Steph. A small part of me was relieved when they won the IC, because maybe now she'll finally stop *whining* and shifting blame to the rest of her team for 5 seconds. Also, her bitching about BJ because he's winning and she's not? "blah blah blah he gets so GAY whine whine whine!" Very un-PC. God, she redefines the term, "sore loser."
Jamie is a joyless, soulless ass. Have we seen this jerk crack a smile even once? Just being within 10 feet of this guy would send my mood down the toilet. He's also come off as rather woman-hating on more than one occasion. Also, way to completely blow the RC, numbnuts.
Judd is also an obnoxious ass. Way too defensive with Margaret after TC, and his rant towards Cindy after the RC was nothing short of bullying. He thinks that he can be a jerk to everyone outside of his alliance now that he has the advantage, but that'll bite him in the ass later on.
I have to say, though, I *love* watching Steph/Jamie/Judd lose. XD I swear, they're like this season's Axis of Evil; I've *never* had this much hate for an alliance before. Princess Entitlement + Grumpy Misogynist + Obnoxious Bully = HAAAAAATE.
And re: the preview for next week: I hope Bobby Jon kicks Jamie's sorry ASS. Especially if BJ is coming to Amy's rescue, like I think he is! BWAHAHAHA.
That's all I've got.
