I am in a ridiculously good mood today. And one of my co-workers brought me an InuYasha figure from KumoriCon. Yay! :D

So yeah, recap time:

Best part of Friday night: Late-night wushu!! I got the itch at some ungodly hour, and there's this nice open area of grass behind my apartment, so I grabbed my straightsword and did some weapons basics. No jumps, in favor of protecting my ankle, but I was feeling mighty strong running through my sword techniques. I was rather terrified that my wushu had gotten really bad, because I haven't actually practiced in a few weeks, so it was reassuring to go out there and do well.

Saturday was bangin'. I had a great morning workout, got the car washed, and biffed around the mall for a bit, which I haven't done in a while. I also had boba! I hadn't been in to Aiyara in a while, though, so there was a new girl behind the counter who didn't know what kind of bubble tea I usually get. :) I hope the other girl still works there; she was really sweet and remembered my face after I'd only been in there twice. It was pretty busy in there, though, so it's very cool that they seem to be doing well; they are nice folk.

[livejournal.com profile] bookid and [livejournal.com profile] rantar and I went to see The 40-Year-Old Virgin later in the afternoon, and that was actually pretty good. It was not something I would have chosen myself, and it's probably something you ought to avoid if you're easily embarrassed, but it was better than the previews led me to expect. :) There were some jokes that were just plain Wrong, but there were some smarter, laugh-out-loud moments, too. There was also an underlying, "it's okay to wait," theme, which was actually rather nice. :)

So, a couple hours after the movie, I was freshening up and debating whether or not I should go to the aforementioned party, because I sometimes get a bit nervous about parties where I will only know a couple of the attendees. Yeah, it's stupid, shut up. ;p Anyway, in the midst of this, I heard via [livejournal.com profile] dakania, right when the news broke on TV, that Chief Justice Rehnquist died. That didn't seem like a good omen for the evening, I have to say. ::laughs::

BUT! In spite of that, party was fun, as you can probably tell by my stupid drunk post. We had a few beers, hung out, and shot some mostly-uncoordinated pool. Oh, and there was a campfire in the backyard later in the evening, so we toasted marshmallows! That was really neat. Overall, it was actually very chill and relaxing--definitely *not* one of those obnoxious, frat-face, beer blast keggers that usually set me on edge--so yeah, no complaints from me. T'was much fun, and I'm thinking I may go again sometime. W00t!

So, here's the rather silly thing: I climbed into bed after 3am, all prepared to sleep in until 1 in the afternoon on Sunday, but I woke up at frickin' 9:45am and couldn't get back to sleep. :p I actually felt pretty rested, though, so I got up and cleaned house and such. Oh, and I did a successful Princess Run on WoW. I wound up passing out after dinner around 7:30pm, though, which was odd. I guess the Magical Beer Sleep wasn't as restful as I thought, heh. :)

I woke up around 9pm and couldn't get back to sleep, but didn't feel like doing anything, so I logged onto WoW again, and actually got into a good group for Zul'Farrak, which was a shock--I've had really bad luck getting anything done in Zully, so that was probably my 6th or 7th time in that stupid effing dungeon. That got me to lvl 51, so that's a big Yay.

Monday was pretty boring, but not in a bad way. I actually got several things done that I'd meant to do previously, so it was a nice day. Productivity is Good.

In closing, I am going to pimp the Geocaching pictures again, because I have now added some captions, so y'all know WTF we were doing up there. Heh. :)

40-Year-Old Virgin was way beyond my expectations. I liked it a lot. Do you like Freaks and Geeks?

The dealer's room at Kumoricon was full of figurines this year. And, um, boys. And Fullmetal Alchemist cosplayers. ^-^

Yeah, it definitely surpassed my expectations, too! I've never seen Freaks and Geeks, though. I know, I am worse off for it. ;p

OMG, it sounds so fun! I didn't even know about the bloody thing until said co-worker came to me on Friday and was all, "I'm going to KumoriCon this weekend, want me to get you anything?" I'm such a lazy fangirl. ;pppp

Yeah, Judd Apatow, who directed 40-Year-Old Virgin, also co-wrote/directed a bunch of Freaks & Geeks episodes. Which explains why 40-Year-Old Virgin is good.
