yet another drive-by

batskeetsWorking on the weekend? Sucks. A lot. :p So, I'm taking a break.
Friday was pretty okay. Not spectacular, but okay. I was nearly an hour late to wushu because something cropped up at work at the last minute. Boooo! :p And on a Friday, of all days! But, I worked it out with some time, and not too terribly much trouble.
Being late probably wasn't so bad, anyway, because I spent most of wushu practice in the mat room working on a new jump for the Nanquan form, and it involves landing on my side instead of on my feet. So, basically, calculated falling. I apparently can't do it without making a horrendous grunting noise upon impact, either. ::rotfl:: Anyway, I'm developing some fun fun bruises on my left leg from that, but I think I'm picking it up pretty well.
From there, I went to the craft party, which was good fun. I don't think beadwork is something I'll be doing a lot of on my own, because I've never had a very steady hand, but it was a neat diversion, and I wound up liking what I made. :) I had a doofus moment and misplaced my keys, but I found them without too much trouble.
I just noticed what time it is, so I'm off. More later, perhaps.
