Sending out the hate

batskeetsI currently hate a certain someone who called both my home phone *and* my cell phone at the bright-and-early hour of 8am this morning. It woke me up before I was ready to be awake, and I didn't recognize the phone number on the caller ID. So, dear mystery caller, until I know who you are, I will sit here and hate you. I'll hate you very sleepily, but I'll hate you.
I currently hate the fact that I left my cell phone at home, especially because I don't have a phone here, and there are calls I'll need to make in about an hour or so.
I currently hate whatever is causing my domain server to be down.
I currently hate the people at Entertainment Weekly, because they were mean to Wil Wheaton, *again*. Sloppy journalism is one thing, but sloppy journalism resulting in venomous commentary about my totally nice geek hero? Not Cool.
I currently hate BugBase, because it has been crashing far more often than I'm prepared to put up with. :p
...and now, to counterbalance, things that are distinctly not sucky:
The Manchurian Candidate. The film got a bit slow in the middle, but wasn't too bad. (although apparently nothing like the book) Also, Liev Schreiber can act the pants off of anyone. And no, that wasn't meant to sound as wrong as it did. I think.
Pork buns for breakfast, because they are quick, and darn tasty... which is good when you are running late in the morning.
Lunch at Sakura. You can never, ever go wrong with teriyaki chicken. And the "spicy mayo" in my sushi was actually spicy! I'm surprised.
The notion that I might actually not have to work late today, because as of last night, it was looking like a distinct possibility. Of course, now that I've said this, something terrible will probably happen to keep me here until like 9pm, but hey, here's to hoping.
