Yes, I actually thought that to myself while I was updating my character sheet today. NERD

So, the RP was good. There was a heap of good, angsty plot, and very efficient combat. I kind of wish that my character had more to do when there aren't enemies to be killed off, but that's pretty normal. I suppose that every member of our party has their strong niche, and "killing machine" happens to be my character's. ::shrug:: I suppose I should give my poor GMs more material, na?

Still, no complaints from my end about this adventure, aside from the fact that I'm *hungry* now. (surprise) It's too early for thai food, or pretty much any food that I wouldn't have to spend an hour or two making myself. Anything that *is* open right now would probably only offer greaseball food that I'd immediately regret eating.

[livejournal.com profile] aleisha and [livejournal.com profile] dellswor's kittens were running around intermittently during the game, and they were terribly distracting, but *so* cute! They're very pretty cats, and very much in the curious-and-energetic phase, so it's amusing to watch them hop around and generally go nuts over various cat toys. It'd be so fantastic if we had room for a kitty here, but I think we have far too much crap in kitty-accessible areas for that to happen right now. Maybe sometime down the line...

I'm not sure if I missed something or not, but I headed over for wushu practice in the afternoon (15 minutes late, granted), and nobody was there. :p I practiced by myself, which was pretty boring. I think I spooked somebody at one point, because a girl walked in around 5:25, and from across the room, she kind of looked like [livejournal.com profile] cmsunflash, so I started to get up and say "yay, it's not just me anymore!" But, they mumbled something in another language and scurried away post haste. Heh.

I think my motivation for work has finally returned, thank *GOD*. It started flagging in a big way after I got back from Berkeley, and I think I fell into kind of a blue funk in general, but I'm really getting back into the swing of things now. :) Which is *good*, because I want to start scouting out more work! I must confess to having felt very hopeless at certain times, over the past month or so, but now that I'm doing what I do best, and getting ready to launch a new, completed project, I'm remembering that there are still a lot of possibilities out there for me.

Let me also say: it's a completely bizarre experience to look in my bank account 2/3rds of the way through the month, and realize that I actually have money left! That I can use without feeling guilty! To buy frivolous and fun things, even! The broke-ass-poor college student lifestyle has become so firmly ingrained in my head that I can't seem to wrap my brain around the idea of actually having more than five bucks to spare.

Anyhoo, I'm off to find something to munch on.
