Apr. 13th, 2004 07:41 pmMy Sox won today! Yaaayyy! :D It's a bit depressing that they're still behind Detroit in the AL Central standings, though. Bastards. :p
I went running today, for the first time since before I even started wushu. I kind of expected to be hacking and wheezing the whole time, but I actually did really well! Conclusion: anybody who says that wushu isn't a real sport can sod off, because I am definitely in better shape now than I was 5 1/2 months ago.
Also: treadmills are weird. I didn't want to go running outside, because it was raining, so I used a treadmill at the Rec. It's so weird to be walking around after running a few miles on the treadmill, because you're walking at normal speed, but you feel like you're moving really fast, and it's *really* disorienting.
In spite of the rain, it is definitely spring in Eugene, because I came down to my car this afternoon and it was covered in bird feces! YAY. :p I guess some birds have been nesting in the rafters of my building for the past couple years, and Chuck can't seem to get rid of them, so every spring they come out and relieve themselves all over the nearby cars on a daily basis. I didn't so much care when I was driving the 1987 death trap, but now that I have a 2004, it's really irritating.
Anyhoo, I'm going to hit the showers.
