Mmm, Finger Eleven.
Well, I have an interview tomorrow: it's for a retail job. But on the up side: it's computers and electronics retail. As retail jobs go, that's about the best fit I can imagine. The only thing better would be if I got to sell an odd, eclectic collection of geek paraphernalia, and I don't think there's a national chain of *that* sort around. :)
Also on the job front, I wasn't rejected after all--they're deciding to not hire anyone new at this time. It still means no job, which is obviously not great. But it's also not, "no job because you are a loser," so it's an improvement. :)
I got a nosebleed this afternoon, which was no fun. But, after getting my nose under control, I had a lovely lunch with
addiew and
junsiew, and I ate *far* too much white pad thai. Then we hit up Sunrise, and I found, buried in the back of the cooler, CALPICO ORANGE SODA! It's as good as I remembered, and it also *really* makes me want to go to San Francisco. Like right now.
Stupid lack of money; it'd be nice to get out of Eugene for even a couple days. I'm still thinking about taking a few extra days in San Fran after I compete at Berkeley. I'll probably be too broke to do it, but maybe if I cram in a lot of freelance hours over the next couple weeks, then I can work it out. I could try to set up some job interviews for while I'm there, too.
Last night I had the honor and misfortune of hearing Hanson do a cover of Dirrty. Yes, as in the Christina Aguilera song. With acoustic guitars. And THREE-PART VOCALS. XD It was weirdly funny and... surprisingly not bad. ::ducks::
Anyway, I should get back to work, na?

Date: 2004-03-16 06:42 pm (UTC)...You know, I never found Calpis Orange Soda EVER in the whole 10 months I was in Japan?? I found orange calpis once, but it wasn't carbonated. I was so sad, if it wasn't for the seasonal Fanta and Coke bottles with hot Johnny's guys on them I'd curse the entire Japanese beverage industry. ;_;
