Strange kid
Mar. 7th, 2004 06:48 amI'm up! At 6:30am! On a Sunday!
Yes, I know it's rather strange. I spent most of my Saturday night watching Iron Chef and dozing intermittently on the couch, because I wasn't feeling very well. Apparently, James came back at one point and asked if I wanted to watch a movie, and I told him to leave me alone because I was sleeping. I, of course, don't remember this, because I was asleep. ;p
There have been a few times when I've done/said things in my sleep that don't make much sense in the context of the real world, and it's kind of interesting, but ultimately weird. I remember one instance when I was 12, and staying at my great aunt's house for a few weeks over the summer. My sleeping self was somehow convinced that it was time to go back home, so I got out of bed, sleepwalked over to the dresser drawers, and started opening and shutting them, as if I was packing up my clothes and getting ready to go home. My cousin even woke up and asked me what I was doing, and I told her in my sleep that I was going home.
This was, of course, a good two weeks before my actual departure date. I also don't remember dreaming about packing, or travelling, or anything like that.
So, yeah, apparently I do odd things when I'm unconscious. Does this mean I'm repressed, or just incredibly effective at dreaming?
Anyhoo, I think I'm going to go read something now, and maybe fall back asleep for a couple more hours. Sunday should be fun, once we get to a more decent hour of the day--roleplaying in the afternoon, possibly followed by a viewing of Ichi the Killer during the late-night.
