Man, today kind of sucks.
Rehearsal is going okay, but the first run-through was hella slow *again*, and our second run-through was supposed to be real-time, dress rehearsal, with no pauses. Thing is, we had to cut the introductions and two of the performances out, because we were short on time, so it wasn't really a full run. Of course, if the cast hadn't elected to take a 20-minute break, we'd have had plenty of time, but nobody would have heard my cries from inside the soundproof booth, and I am clearly not the boss of anything.
Ugh, SHUT UP, brain! I seriously need to stop bitching. I have only been working on this production for a week. This is not the AHS drama department. These are not professional actors, or even *aspiring* actors. I AM NOT THE DIRECTOR. I must remember this.
Seriously, though, the show is good--there's some nice, simple comedy, and some very good performers! I feel like the presentation of it could certainly use some polishing, but I'm sure that I'm mainly noticing these things because I have theatre experience. The average layman probably won't notice at all.
Anyway, the other thing that sucks is the fact that I forgot my frasking cell phone at home. So, uh, yeah. Don't call me until later.
And, I had a couple errands I wanted to do, too, but there's some crap sporting event tonight! This means that the minute I move my car, somebody is going to steal my parking spot, and I *know* I'll never find another one. I guess I'm stuck here until after the show.
Good points: I'm looking forward to the birthday party! I hope I'll get done here early enough to go over and hang out for a goodly amount of time. Also, I tried one of those new Subway wraps just now, and I don't care if you're on some freaky-deaky diet or not; it's still good eating. And, I played with my PS2 for ~4 hours last night. Hoo! :D Even Persona 2 looks slightly better on the PS2 than it did on the PS1.
Anyway, I'm off to kill another 1.5 hours.
