Since a few people asked, I'll just post it here: More info about Bubble Tea. Read and enjoy!

It's going to be a busy couple of days for me: tomorrow I am meeting with the EMU staff to iron out tech details, and then I'll likely be sitting through several hours of rehearsal in order to get it down. On Saturday, it'll be more of that, plus other miscellaneous Japan Night preparations. After that, I'm hoping to pop in on the joint birthday party for [livejournal.com profile] rantar and [livejournal.com profile] rhyn. Fortunately, Sunday is completely open, so I'm going to rest and relax.

I have finally started knitting again. I burned myself out on it a bit after the big push to finish my mom's Christmas gift, but now I'm working with another project. It's actually one that I finished previously, but I decided it wasn't long enough, and that I wanted to change some of the patterning. :)

To do tomorrow: Blizzard layout, startup stupf, gift stuff, sewing. Hopefully I won't have this splitting headache tomorrow, so I'll get more things done.

P.S. Have I mentioned that I love this wallpaper? HOORAY TURKEY :D

Hey, Knitting Guru, do you know how to connect another skein of yarn onto a scarf when you're almost done with the first skein? I can't find instructions anywhere on the internet, and you're the only other person I know that knits.

I just started knitting myself, and the way I added yarn was by waiting till the end of a row and then just knotting on the new yarn. Then I used a crochet hook to weave the ends in somewhat inconspicuously. :D

I wanna know how you make something bigger than a scarf, like a blanket... I can't read those damn patterns, and a girl can only make so many scarves! Help?

Good question--I haven't made anything bigger than a scarf, either! :) I was trying to make a hat, but my circular needles are too long.

Basically, you have to get to the end of a row, and then use the start of the new skein as you would use the loose end of the first skein. (as in, the string that you use to loop around the needles to create new stitches) Then, you weave the loose ends in when you're done with the project.

I have no idea if that makes sense, but hopefully it helps. ^^;

Can't you drag it out a little more... add some suspense to it?

Bubble tea is the best! I love that stuff...I remember when they used to have it in the common grounds cafe a couple of years ago. Their coconut bubble tea was great :)
