The furnace is working!! Of course, the repair guy took his sweet time getting over here, because I don't think he arrived until almost 7:30. Oh well, it's nice to not be wrapped up in 10000 layers of clothing and blankets.
I don't understand the bidding strategies of some people on eBay. I've seen some auctions on there that have a good 3 days before closing date, and there have already been, say, 19 bids on many of them. I don't think I've *ever* bid on something that early and actually won it! You know, if these people could just keep their shorts on for a couple days, we could all have a nice bidding war at the last minute, and we'd potentially save ourselves a lot of money in the long run.
The Count of Monte Cristo is a good read, thus far. I've had to take breaks, because I keep getting headaches while reading, but I like it quite a bit.
I hope
junsiew got back home okay today, because I was supposed to run her by the Amtrak station, but obviously, I couldn't, from where I'm currently sitting. I think the fact that she isn't lurking on AIM means she made it. I should probably make my way up to her parents' house pretty soon, and see if I can fix their computer. My ma also gave me a bunch of stuff to take back with me, and pass on to them, because apparently Janet and I have been designated as couriers for all the random stuff that our respective mothers want to swap with each other. ;p
I'm heading to bed pretty soon here, because I have to be up early to check the road conditions. Cross your fingers for me!
EDIT: I should know better than to watch Food Network when I'm hungry, because now I *really* want some cheese fondue. Uwaaaa. ;_;
