I watched the Queer Eye For The Straight Guy christmas episode earlier today, and even though I generally don't like recap clip shows, 2 of the straight guy guinea pigs they reviewed were ones that I'd missed, so it was all good. I'm also noticing that I always like Kyan's shirts, for some reason.

My day wasn't quite as productive as I wanted, because I hauled myself out of bed early, and I was feeling pretty tired. I'm still feeling rather yuck right now, even. I did go out shopping today, and I got most of the things on my list at least partially done, but not as done as I'd like. I blame it on getting up without a full night's rest this morning, but at least I will get to bed at a more decent hour. Of course, I'm saying this at almost 2am, so that point is probably moot. ::rotfl::

I spent most of today working on the gifts that I'm making, so it's been fairly relaxing, on the whole--I won't talk about what they are just yet, though, because some of those people might read this. And yes, my fam has been known to check in on my LJ occasionally, esp. my dad. You guys would probably think I'd be more creeped out by that, but I'm not. :)

To do tomorrow: go to bank, do laundry, finish handmade gifts, wrap remaining gifts, finish freelance stuff, pick out CDs for trip, pack and load car, work out if I have time.

Hah, I'd be so freaked out if I found out some of my family read my journal.
I'd say at least a quarter of what I write is stuff I would never tell most of my family and there's a lot of things I'd prefer my dad didn't ever know about me.
Sometimes I try to think about what it'd be like if I was closer to my parents, but then I imagine trying to talk about serious issues with them and I remember I don't want that at all.

I haven't always been very close w/my fam, so I guess I feel like they should know a *few* things about me, at least. If I feel the need, the really heavy stuff can always go in a locked post.

LOL, have you seen the South Park ep with the Queer Eye guys?? That cracked me up so much. (Craaaaaab people! CRAAAAAAB PEOPLE! ::rotfl::)

But yeah, I'd never actually heard the term "metrosexual" used until I saw that episode, and then after that it was everywhere.

well...at least your parents are computer literate! my mom only uses the comp for rebates and email. and my dad doesn't even go near it. the computer at home is busted right now as it is....

Heh, calling my mom "computer literate" is probably giving her a little too much credit. ::laughs:: I think she only really uses it for stock reports, and *maybe* an e-mail, although I have never gotten an e-mail from her before.

My dad does know his stuff, though, I'll give you that. :)

It's on Bravo--channel 181 on our digital cable plan, but I'm not sure what channel it would be on basic.
