The Last Samurai!

So, I've actually talked to people about this a bit, and we're going to try it again.

THE LAST SAMURAI! This Saturday. 6:30 or 7:05 showing! Drop me a line if you'd like to join us. Seriously. I'd love to have the company, but I really want to see this movie, and I'll go by my damned self if I have to. I hope it doesn't come to that, though. ^^;

Anyway! As you probably haven't heard, because I've been keeping it uber-secret for safety reasons, I'll be taking James to see Shania Twain at the Rose Garden this evening, as his Christmas present. I *must* dig him an awful lot, to sit through that many hours of country music with him. ::laughs:: Anyway, point being, I won't be at home.

Let me just say, *man*, this chick's shows are expensive. If I were a musician, I don't think I'd be charging people up to $80 a head in order to come see my wank ass play a guitar. But then, I don't have a multi-million dollar musical empire, do I? ;p

The next few days will be pretty darn busy and eventful. Whoof!

Anyway, I suppose I should eat something before we hit the road in a little over an hour.

I almost feel shame for being so snooty about my musical taste.

According to the A&E there's gonna be lots of theatrics and exploding something or others and I guess that's why she has to charge so much. Explosions aren't cheap, you know.

Shania is the shiznit! =D James is a lucky fella... and The Last Samurai kicked total arse... very tastefuly done. They do well in avoiding the downfall of most western cinema portraying the east with a white guy in the plot... e.g. white guys do everything better =D The main character is likeable and believable... and if that doesn't convince you IT HAS NINJA'S! as pointed out before by Nikki.

by the way have you ever read the Silmarillion? It used to remind me of the Bible... now it reminds me of an Anime plot =\ In fact it would make one bad ass Anime!

Haha. I'm alright with some country. I like me some Neko Case for some reason or another.

But the overproduced stuff like Twain and everything else my grandma listens to on the radio makes me gag.
