I have this strange desire to see Kill Bill, and I'm not even sure why. Thing is, it looks like it might be a fun movie. Well, as long as Quentin Tarantino isn't featured as an actor for any extended period. Say whatever you will about his writing and directing skills, but anyone who thinks Quentin Tarantino can act is just Wrong. Just hearing him tear through his scripted lines is enough to make my ears bleed.

Anyhoo, today has been markedly better than yesterday. Not a lot has really happened, but the overall feel of things was good.

I really need to catch up with some people, though. Over the summer, I got so used to my friends who live in the building (plus Ran) being the only ones around, that I sometimes forget that there *are* other people around town now. ^^;

Work last night was cake! Although there were some rides and few tips, we also spent a good amount of time in the office. I studied a bit for the Japanese quiz, and played some Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, because Nate was cool enough to leave the SNES in the office, rather than taking it back when he stopped working for The Comet. Yes, getting paid to play video games is still TEH 一番.

There's more freelancing in my future tonight, and I need to catch up on my reading. Rrrargh.

Haha. So so right.

I'm actually seeing Kill Bill on Friday. For so long I was like, "Blah, no one cares about Tarantino, he hasn't had a movie in forever, he may as well be dead, etc." but now that the movie is actually coming out I'm all excited like a 15 year old wannabe film hipster wannabe again. It's sad, really.

this will come out wrong but... meh

i can't stand Tarantino. i didn't like Pulp Fiction. i haven't liked most of what i've seen by him. i don't even like Uma Thurman.
yet for some unknown reason i'm looking forward to Kill Bill. i blame the Japan factor...

I saw Kill Bill last weekend, and it was very good. It's definitely violent, but in that over-the-top humorous way rather than the gut-wrenching way that often sneaks into Tarantino films. Tarantino himself either doesn't make an appearance or he's in a roll that's so small or different that I never noticed (yay!).

Highly recommended. Go see it. It's good.

Seriously.
