batskeetsI'm trying to install MySQL in my homedir on Gladstone (a.k.a. the server for students here at the Uni), and I've been, uh, having problems. Can anybody give me a run-down of what I should be doing?

EDIT: While waiting for libraries to compile and such, I've been goofing around at Gaia Online. It's kind of funny and pointless, and there are a lot of teenage dorks running around, but the idea of decorating my little avatar is apparently enough to keep me looking around there. LMAO!
Anyway, if you're interested in that sort of thing, you should JOIN, because it'll earn me more bling bling, so I can buy more schwag! The poor thing needs it--I didn't like the peasant dress, and I could only afford a shirt for her, so I spent the first 2-3 hours of computer time with my avatar running around in her underpants. ASDKFASKLFHALKH!
