Yesterday was interesting--one event I will post about after I get home, but here's the rest:

I came home to a phone message yesterday about a JOB. ::falls out of chair:: A recruiter in Portland somehow got wind of me, and had a position here in Eugene that he thought I'd be good for/interested in. It doesn't exactly sound like a permanent job, but it's likely to provide many almighty dollars (or at least, more dollars that I am currently getting), and pretty awesome and relevant items to add to my resume/portfolio, so I am not complaining *AT ALL*. The only real complication is that I'd have to quit at least one of my current jobs in order to take this one, but I think they'd understand, given the circumstances. I'm supposed to find out within the next couple days.

I also have my internship interview tomorrow. Depending on the job, and how the interview goes, I may have some tough decisions to make about how I'm going to spend the next few months. :)

Damn, I feel fortunate today. I LOVE THIS FIELD!

And last night was the Buffy finale, of course. It felt SO SHORT. Holy crap. There were some great scenes, though: the post-battle Xander and Andrew scene, and the hallway bit with the core 4 Scoobies were great, and the Angel bits were also cute. I just wish they'd had time to do more, especially with some of the Scoobies. It was a great end for Buffy's character though--one of the overriding themes in the latter seasons has been Buffy's issues about being The Chosen One and having to take on the entire weight of the world's problems by herself, and to have an ending where she's freed of bearing such a huge burden by herself seemed right to me. :)

Oh, and Spike is *so* going to Shanshu.

The Slashville season finale was also last night, too. All I have to say is: poor, poor Lex! I realize that Slashville is not exactly a cannon Superman story by any stretch, but the way Lex gets dumped on all the time, it's no wonder he turned into a supervillain.

I put together a lunch for today after the requisite TV watching, which consisted of a really yummy new teriyaki recipe (mirin is my new favourite cooking fluid) and a pseudo-California Roll. Basically, I made mine maki-zushi style, instead of using the usual rice-on-the-outside method. It was, um, kind of messy. I had high hopes, because the other ~6 times I've rolled sushi, it came out pretty nicely, but this one kind of half-exploded when I cut it into pieces. I think my sushi rice wasn't quite up to snuff this time.

After that we moved over to [livejournal.com profile] polysciguy's place, where we goofed around and watched [livejournal.com profile] rkelly play LOTR on the XBox. Hooray for sexy pixels and jimmy-shot kill moves! <3 ::asdlkfhasdklfhadklsfhlk::

And now, here we are today. My Comm. Design group project should be interesting. ::laughs:: I can say nothing more than that until we actually do some designing. Japanese quiz was decent, because I got out of Comm. Design early enough to cram in some extra kanji practice. Casual Japanese speech is kind of odd, but I'm getting used to it. And of course, I'm at the job now, because I do still have Wednesdays and Fridays. ~2.5 hours and I'm free. I was considering going to Wushu Club with [livejournal.com profile] junsiew later on, but it depends on how sleepy I am when the appointed time rolls around. I do have to drive the Vomit Comet tonight, and all.

I think I'm out for now. More later. :)
