Fuzzy animal break

Both [livejournal.com profile] daemonwise and I have been idly pondering having a cute, furry animal in the house, even though we're both too busy to own our own dog. Still, it's hard not to think about it, because d'aaaawww.

I've also helped Alyson out with some of her work with local animal shelters, and because she's super-involved with them, she posts links to shelter pets looking for a home All. The. TIME.

Example? These little guys. Their names? Are SKEETER and GIZMO. It's like the universe is practically throwing them at me, people.

The universe is mean, y'all. Just sayin'.

You can borrow Watson anytime.

Yeah, Watson is definitely a charmer. ;)

Trust me, "no" on chihuahuas. Get a little terrier or something, they're just as cute and not annoying as all Hell.

Yeah, if they hadn't been named after my Internet handle and my favorite dog ever, respectively, then I probably would've passed it by more easily. ;) I'm not into the tiny-and-yappy critters.

Small dogs can be great for homes with a lot of traffic...personally, I would go with a big dog, but, that's just me. chihuahuas are "iffy" - I saw a lot of people breeding them in Phoenix and they wuold end up with problems...it made me sad.

That being said, those two are cute as hell...

You SHOULD get a dog, of some kind ;)

Eeeheee, aww.

I had cute dog overload last night when I was walking Kira. A lady was outside with her two dogs, and Dolly, a 17 year old Maltese ran up to me and smooshed her face against my leg and just sat there. Such a cute dog, awww.

Yeah, individually neither of us probably have the time for a dog, but I think between the two of us, it would work. I kinda like the idea more and more as time goes by.

Just pleeeeeaaaaaase no ankle biters. Small dogs are one thing; noise machines that poop are another altogether (coughneighborsdogscough).

My house, not that it's close by, is set up for dog sitting: 24/7 doggy door access to outside, no carpet, nothing valuable. Watson needs more entertainment during the day. If you decide to get one and need a place for it to hang out sometimes, let me know.

Oh my god, look at their little faces!

I'm not helping.
